Who's behind this
I'm Todd. I've been through enough real emergencies to stop treating preparedness as a someday problem.
I'm a CERT-trained volunteer (Community Emergency Response Team), with training in first aid and disaster response, and I've lived through multiple hurricanes, a wildfire, and a flood. I started this site to give regular families the practical, no-panic guidance I wish I'd had.
Most emergency prep content is aimed at people going off-grid for good. This is for regular families who want to be ready without making it a lifestyle. Practical steps, honest gear picks, no fear language.
Community Emergency Response Team: first aid, search and rescue, disaster response.
Multiple hurricanes, a wildfire, and a flood. Weeks without power.
Practical prep without the bunker. Honest gear, no fear, no hype.
